Cuba, officially the Republic of Cuba is an island country in the Caribbean (the largest in the Antilles). The nation of Cuba comprises the main island of Cuba, the Isla de la Juventud, and several archipelagos. Havana is the capital of Cuba and its largest city, followed by Santiago de Cuba. To the north of Cuba lies the United States and the Bahamas, Mexico is to the west, the Cayman Islands and Jamaica are to the south, and Haiti and the Dominican Republic are to the southeast.
Cuba is a combination of singular emotions: light and color, joyfulness and warmth. Whether exploring its city streets or soaking up the beauty of its beaches, you’ll have memories to treasure. Here, you’ll have much more than a Caribbean vacation. Cuba is the sound of a guitar, the sound of drums. It is white, black, urban, country and sea. It is beaches with turquoise-blue water; cities infused with the air of a long gone era; rich, multicolored, vital nature.
Cuba’s beaches are unique for the rich tones of their clear warm water. The island’s coasts include everything from challenging cliffs to peaceful coves, perfect for amazing Caribbean sun and sea vacations.
The cays which form the outermost ring of the archipelago are particularly attractive. They have been left in nearly their natural state, with their original flora and fauna, so they still look much as they did when Christopher Columbus discovered these lands over five centuries ago.
From West to East, Cuba's 14 provinces are Pinar del Rio, Artemisa, City of Havana, Mayabeque, Matanzas, Cienfuegos, Villa Clara, Sancti Spíritus, Ciego de Ávila, Camaguey, Las Tunas, Granma, Santiago de Cuba, Holguín and Guantánamo. The Island of Youth, south of the main island of Cuba, is a special municipality.
Cuba is its people, filled with enthusiasm and warmth, of great sensitivity, exuding a positive approach to life.
It’s the place to be…!
